Prayer Concerns
MCEC in prayer
Please pray for the MCEC community of congregations. This week we pray for Christ Kingdom Reformed Church and Pastor Yonathan Assefa. Pray for this Ethiopian congregation located in Scarborough, Ontario.
God of peace, let your harmony take root in our hearts, so that the healing we long to see in the world may begin within each of us. Guide our steps so that we walk gently with one another, choosing compassion, justice, and understanding in every moment. Make us instruments of your enduring peace.
Mennonite World Conference
Pray for Mennonite churches in Japan as they seek ways to address leadership succession, with most pastors being past retirement age. Pray that God will raise up younger leaders for the churches, and for the churches to continue to see opportunities to grow as they adapt to new realities.
Please pray for those grieving and suffering in Myanmar. Please also pray for the military junta to turn away from this strategy of harming its citizens.
