Welcome – Cameron

Call to worship

Opening prayer

Leader: A dry, lifeless speck blown by the wind settles to earth.

People: Sunlight, soil, rain.

Roots! Shoots! Flowers! Fruit!

Leader: Mysterious God, we marvel at the miracle of new life from seeds.

People: We marvel that your kingdom grows even while we sleep.

Leader: Scatter your good seed in our hearts this day, O Spirit of God.

All: Then let our hearts unfold like flowers before you, centre of unbroken praise.

Prayer Concerns

MCEC

Please pray for the MCEC community of congregations; this week we hold Elmira Mennonite Church in prayer. Kara Carter provides pastoral leadership for this congregation. Pray for this congregation as they serve their community in ways that demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ, giving hope and working for peace.

God of peace, amid the recent waves of violence, loss and unrest unfolding across our world, we come before you seeking your steadying presence. Hold close all who are grieving, fearful or displaced, and soften hearts where anger and division have taken root. May your peace take hold in communities and nations, guiding us toward compassion, restraint and hope.

Mennonite World Conference

We invite all churches and Christians of the world, and all people of faith and good will, to join in praying for peace in the Middle East, and everywhere in our world where there is conflict and strife.
