Refugee sponsorship opportunity
Mennonite Central Committee Ontario has asked Welcome the Stranger-GTA to consider sponsoring a refugee family. MCCO would provide the funds needed for the sponsorship. The WtS Committee wants to discern the capacity of our supporting churches for new volunteers to take on the leadership and sponsorship tasks. Prayer Concerns
MCEC
Please pray for the MCEC community of congregations; this week we hold Église Maison de La Grâce in prayer. Pastor Josue Kanimbu Kabongo provides pastoral leadership for this congregation located in Montreal. Pray for this congregation who is called to be a place of prayer and transformation for many believers.
Lord, in a world filled with uncertainty and turmoil, we ask for Your peace to calm every anxious heart and heal every divided place. Help us to choose compassion over conflict and to be instruments of Your love in our communities this week. May Your presence bring hope, unity and renewal to our hurting world.
Mennonite World Conference
Pray for MWC Commissions (Faith & Life, Peace, Deacons and Mission) which will meet in the Netherlands in May, prior to CMERK2026. May their time together build relationships within the groups and advance their collective mission to resource the global Anabaptist family. May they also have a blessed time gathering with members of European Mennonite churches at CMERK.
